Dallas Regional Chamber works with GKN Aerostructures North America on HQ move

GKN Aerostructures North America, a division of GKN plc, has selected Irving, Texas for their North American headquarters.  The Dallas Regional Chamber worked directly with the executive team to coordinate their examination of the region.

The executive team will occupy about 5,000 square feet in the Urban Towers of Las Colinas.  The company’s customers include the world’s leading manufacturers of civil and military aircraft with annual sales in excess of $750 million.  GKN Aerostructures North America employs 3,200 worldwide and GKN plc employs 40,000 worldwide.

In considering the relocation the company reviewed several U.S. locations as well as a number of communities within the DFW region before choosing the Urban Towers in Las Colinas.

“We are excited that GKN has selected Irving as the location for its North American headquarters” said John Bonnot of the Greater Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce.  “In Las Colinas the company will have tremendous airport access as well as proximity to executive housing and its customer base.”

Bill Lokey and John Fancher with CBRE represented the Urban Towers. “The Urban Towers of Las Colinas is a great corporate location and we’re delighted to have GKN here.  The expansion of DART as well as other existing developments in Las Colinas make this an ideal location for a company moving into the region” said Fancher.
