8th Annual Joint Leadership Meeting

The 8th Annual Joint Leadership Meeting was held today at the Hyatt Regency DFW in DFW Airport.  The meeting brings together the board of directors of both the Dallas Regional Chamber and Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce.  Today’s agenda focused on both regional and state-wide issues and featured the Honorable Jim Pitts, Chairman of the Appropriations Committee in the Texas House of Representatives who spoke on the outlook of the Texas state budget.  Mike Guyton, Chair of Economic Development for the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce discussed saving the Texas Enterprise Fund, and Sue Spradly, Chair of Technology Business Council for the Dallas Regional Chamber, spoke on saving the Emerging Technology Fund.  This is one of the many examples of efforts being made to promote regional cooperation.
