In April, Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke warned that the deficit is one of the biggest concerns to our long term viability as a nation. Our nation’s leaders are facing an array of difficult decisions in order to put our nation on a more sustainable path and need to hear the voice of the people in order to do so. Because of this need, the Dallas Regional Chamber is lending support to a bi-partisan, public town hall discussion about the federal deficit called AmericaSpeaks. The event will take place Sat. June 26 from 10:30 to 5 at the Dallas Convention Center. More than 500 local residents will gather to deliberate and discuss this critical national issue.
