June 5th, 79 key business leaders joined us at the quarterly Board of Advisors luncheon to hear Ralph W. Babb, Jr., chairman and chief executive officer of Comerica Inc./Comerica Bank, discuss the company’s success following their move to the region in 2007.
Attendees took the time to provide their take on the current business climate by participating in the Board of Advisors Business Perspective Survey. The majority of the participating executives felt that both their business and the DFW economy will continue to improve over the next six months, however half of the participating executives felt there would be no change in the U.S. economy.

A Look At the Board of Advisors Business Perspective Survey: The Board of Advisors program was developed to provide members annually invested at a dues level of $5,000 or more an opportunity to actively participate in the Chamber’s strategic initiatives; achieve high-level engagement with business leaders; greater visibility; and the opportunity to provide feedback and ideas about key issues affecting the business community and region at large. Each Board of Advisors event features another edition of the survey. Many of the questions will be repeated in order to track how opinions of the economy and vital issues change over time. In addition, we will always ask at least one question that directly relates to a specific Chamber activity and how we should proceed in a way that best represents the interests of the business community and our membership.
