To put on what’s known as the Superbowl of Conferences, it takes a lot of manpower. Next week Dallas hosts the American Society of Association Executives’ (ASAE) annual meeting. 6000 association executives will gather in Dallas for the 4-day conference starting August 11.
The Dallas Convention & Visitors Bureau needs your help to make this event a true success. Be a part of “DoubleTake Dallas” by volunteering. The DCVB needs 750 volunteers to help execute events spread across the city.
“Our goal through your volunteerism is to challenge attendees’ previous perceptions about Dallas and have them literally do a double take! Together we will reveal the unexpected and shine the light on all the reasons why this city is the ideal destination for exceptional meetings,” said Barbara Altom, Member Services Manager at the DVCB in an email.
It is estimated that 1 in 5 attendees will book a conference or meeting in Dallas within the next five years. The direct impact of this year’s conference is projected to be $16 million.
As a volunteer you will receive a Doubletake Dallas t-shirt, training and the opportunity to attend the closing celebration at Fair Park featuring KC and The Sunshine Band, Vanilla Ice and a fireworks display.
