What’s your favorite thing about Dallas?
The people in here in the Metroplex are like no other place. The unique “can do” attitude and energy make Dallas a wonderful place to work and conduct business.
Please tell us a little about DataBank. What type of clients do you look for?
DataBank offers the enterprise end user and cloud services provider a highly secure and redundant datacenter platform for their technology infrastructure. Many of our clients use DataBank as their primary data center, but a great deal also use our facilities as a redundant or ‘mirrored’ DR site. As technology now plays a significant role is every business, Databank has a very diverse client base that spans all industries.
You are currently expanding a new data center into the North Dallas area. What makes this center different than the 6 other locations?
Our newest facility is a 50,000 square foot stand-alone facility that is being purpose-built for customer’s seeking high-density power, and the highest levels of quality, security and redundancy. The new facility is being built to the same DataBank 2N standard we are known for, but with a dual 10mw feeds we will be able to offer a new level of high-density power delivery that will be required in tomorrow and into the future.
What is one piece of advice you received as a business leader that you gladly pass along to others?
It’s not very original but it really is true – work at something you really like – you will always enjoy going to work.
What do you consider your biggest accomplishment as a company to be?
Undertaking the construction of our newest facility is a tremendous step for us, but it’s only the first of many. When we cut the ribbon on this magnificent facility in a few months it will definitely represent a monumental accomplishment for the company.
