According to the Texas Secretary of State’s election countdown clock, the November election is only 74 days away. Many important issues and our President will be decided in this year’s election. Make your voice heard this fall, get out and vote.
Citizens who would like to vote in the upcoming election and are not currently registered have just 47 days remaining before the November election’s voter registration deadline. Registration is easy. Visit www.votexas.com, click on “register to vote,” download the application and mail it to the Secretary of State’s office. The website is a great resource for all your voter related questions. Dallas county residents can also apply in person at the Dallas County elections office at 2377 N. Stemmons Fwy, Suite 820 Dallas, TX 75207.
As an added convenience, the Dallas Regional Chamber will provide voter registration tables at several upcoming DRC events. Three DRC staffers, Trisha Windham, Fred Guerra and John McCarley, have been sworn in as Volunteer Deputy Registrars and can take your voter registration forms on behalf of the Dallas county registrar.
Voting is one of the most important responsibilities a United States citizen can exercise. Make your vote heard this November, register to vote today!
